According to the annual conference of the photovoltaic industry, China's photovoltaic manufacturing sector has seen strong growth since the beginning of this year. In the first three quarters, the production of polycrystalline silicon reached 550000 tons, a year-on-year increase of 52.8%, the production of silicon wafers reached 236 gigawatts, a year-on-year increase of 43%, the production of battery cells reached 209 gigawatts, a year-on-year increase of 42.2%, and the production of components reached 191 gigawatts, a year-on-year increase of 46.9%.



The photovoltaic application market is developing rapidly. In the first three quarters, 52.6 million kilowatts of new photovoltaic installed capacity were added nationwide. From the perspective of new installed types, the proportion of centralized photovoltaic power stations, industrial and commercial distributed photovoltaic, and household photovoltaic were 32.83%, 35.63%, and 31.54%, respectively. From the perspective of new installed capacity layout, the regions with high installed capacity are North China, East China and Central China, accounting for 30%, 25% and 19.1% of the new installed capacity in China respectively.



The export volume and price of photovoltaic products have increased simultaneously. From January to October, the total export value of photovoltaic products (silicon wafers, battery cells, and modules) exceeded 44 billion US dollars, a year-on-year increase of 90.3%, reaching a historic high. Wang Bohua, Honorary Chairman of the China Photovoltaic Industry Association, introduced that the demand for photovoltaics in the European market is increasing, and the share of module exports to the European market exceeds half; Brazil has a strong demand for photovoltaics in the South American market.
